#8
ELIZABETH POCK (D75)
MR. TRAMH LeTHUY (D60)
TERRORS (243)
Elizabeth Pock meets Tramh LeThuy and scares him stiff. Put Mr. LeThuy in front and stick a Terrors on him. Put Ms. Pock behind him, then kill, kill, kill. Mr. LeThuy will have a bunch of pull-counters on him, but no pull. Pock will have the pull. Note that since Mr. LeThuy never cranks, he becomes a battery of pull and a blocker for Pock. The counters never disappear. The Terrors is just for protection.
Comment: This one depends on how card D75 is played, which is often wrong, as it is here. The way I read it is this: When Ms. Pock is brought into play, her Pull is set to be (and does not change from) equal to the sum of the Pull scores of all the Characters in the file she is called into, at the time she is called, and those other Characters have Pull=0 until the end of the turn (the one in which she is called). [Peter Jansen]
Comment: It's just that Elizabeth's power takes effect every turn, unless otherwise stated. So, every turn, she drains everyone else in her file of their pull, and gains it herself. So, let's say you call Mr. LeThuy and Pock. You pop two other characters. Mr. LeThuy gets 2 counters. Pock sets Mr. LeThuy's pull to =0 and gains 2 pull. Pock cranks for 2 influence. At the end of the turn, Pock has 0 pull and Mr. LeThuy has 2 pull. On turn two, the turn starts with Pock siphoning off 2 pull from Mr. LeThuy. You pop another two characters, Mr. LeThuy gains 2 counters, and now Pock has a total of 4 pull (number of counters on LeThuy). Pock cranks for 4 Influence. At the end of the turn, the 4 pull returns to LeThuy. Assuming LeThuy never cranks, you're essentially cumulatively gaining 2 pull for Pock a turn. [John Baker]
Comment: The text reads: "She is cranked when called if any Characters in her file are cranked. Characters in her file have Pull=0 until end of your turn. For each pull so lost, she gains +1 Pull." I think it is novel, to say the least, to interpret this to mean she only gains Pull on the turn she is called. Better wording would probably be: "during" instead of "until the end of," but even with the current wording I don't see any reason to interpret it as P.J. does. It's a good trick. I don't see any problems with it as the text is written on both cards, though it does seem degenerate to me. [Rob Lightner]
Comment: We have been focusing on Pock here. The problem may rest with LeThuy. Normally, LeThuy's pull is used once, then deleted as he cranks to use it as influence. What has happened is that the Pock move counters the crank that erases the extra pull. When Pock cranks for influence, she cranks and erases the pull she has taken from others. *She is now at zero pull* and *characters in her file are no longer Pull=0*. Those are the two special powers of Pock that end as her turn ends. But since LeThuy doesn't uncrank, *the added pull counters don't get erased*. Thus, on the next turn, Pock again performs her special powers, reusing the unerased pull counters. LeThuy was written to use the added pull counters once, but this combination makes them permanent. That's the bug that makes this degenerate. No errata has been written on this, to my knowledge. IMHO, if it ever is, it should be that added pull counters on LeThuy get erased whenever they are used to power an effect or are used for influence (as opposed to "when he uncranks"). [Paul Lareau]

#9
TANJA DJILAS (A45)
RICARDO MARTINEZ (149)
HAND OUT TO THE LOST (D49)
Call a cheap low-life, Hand Out to the Lost for another card (or Control an opponent's weak character), attack your own Tanja, then have her attack someone else. Crank Ricardo Martinez to uncrank Tanja, and let her go after another player's character as a 12-12. Triple play!

#10
TRUTH ABOUT CONTROL ADDICTION (C4) - Human Sommerite Control
a Human Control card
a Subrandom Sommerite
UNIFIED CONSPIRACY THEORY (C87)
KOANHEAD (C44)
Here's a little something that happened in a game...The Opponent, desperate for a good card, draws the Koanhead and plays it. Control effects all sommerites, and therefore all Subrandoms. The Koanhead becomes control as soon as he enters play all control characters are flipped when he enters play. Koanhead flips himself. Flipped, so no longer has his effect, unflips himself, causing himself to flip. Game becomes trapped in a recursive time loop and players dissolve in laughter. Comment: Does not work this way. Yes, Koanhead flips himself if he gains the trait Control, but he does not unflip until his player starts another turn and goes through an Unflip phase. [Peter Jansen]

#11
MUTATION (162)
BITTER AND HERB (38) - or another mutation.

#12
UNIFIED CONSPIRACY THEORY (C87)
FALL OF THE WALL (C32)
TRUTH ABOUT CONTROL ADDICTION (C4)
Play Fall of the Wall after a Unified Conspiracy Theory, with a Truth About Control Addiction to make sure the pullers go.

#13
OTZ (D74)
NANO-TECH MEDICAL MACHINES (165)

#14
KAMIKAZE (A75)
ASTRAL FLUX (24)
a big hitter
MR. TRAMH LETHUY (D60)
It's such a pity that Tanya Djilas can't kamikaze, but still, you can use Kamikaze on a BIG hitter, follow with an Astral Flux when it's wiped out all your enemies and then crank Mr. Tramh LeThuy for pull = dead. Comment: Yes, Tanja Djilas CAN be the target of a Kamikaze. [Peter Jansen]

#15
TANJA VOSS (D105)
ELF-WAVE GENERATOR (83)
Guaranteed to slow everyone down!

#16
ISIL ZIYA (C90)
FORKED TONGUE (A57)
Pay one pull to give her any trait, and crank to control any character that she shares a trait with.

#17
ISIL ZIYA (C90)
COPPER DAGGER (62) or
KARLA SOMMERS (228)
Desperate for the extra influence? One pull from a resource becomes +1 pull.

#18
ATAVISM: NINJA (29)
MONIQUE D'AUBAINNE (A41, D23, 71)
Use Atavism: Ninja as a desperate player's Smear Campaign, because as well as the AP=7 and DP=6, it says PULL=0. So suddenly Monique is hiding in the shadows and leaping around with shreaking death kicks...

#19
SACRIFICIAL BLOODBATH (C77)
RAMPAGE (191)
Enough said!

#20
Several ASTRAL TEMPESTs (D11)
CARCINOGENIA (A33)
MANTRA (147)
ALTER-EDGE (A11)
SHAKE 'EM OUT (D82)
The evil wizards of the world will love this one. Hit the enemy with a series of Astral Tempests. Reduce as many characters to DP=3 as possible. Using Carcinogenia and Mantra as well. Play Alter-Edge. All non-astral characters are now at =2 power. So all DP=3's are now DP=1's. Shake 'em out. All DP=1 or lower non-Low Lives pop. Every non-astral with DP=3 and every DP=1 is wiped out. Comment: Tempest counters are only distributed during the Draw phase of the player of the Character with the Astral Tempest (D11) condition. You would need to wait at least one turn and hope you opponent is stupid enough to distribute the counters properly. [Peter Jansen]
